It has three sides, three languages, and three countries in
small miles away. Thailand, Laos and Burma have one religion with three
different fates. This journey I wont be alone, I’m with three of my collage
friend try to explore this place. Our first check point was Chiang Rai, the
city of White Temple.

The singing clock tower, the landmark in the centre of Chiang Rai |
I go with my three wonderful friend, Radix, Albertus and
Pandu. My collage team is very tough and we always looking for ice cream in
Thailand. In the hot bloody Northern Thailand, anyway we come out with nice ice
cream to give energy and cheer energy.
Arrived at Chiang Rai, we got the impression the city is so
quiet and peaceful. My hotel was in Baan Baramee just 1 mile away from the
night market, but there we only hear the bustling and busy birds. The Madame, the owner of Hotel, welcomed
us. We were welcomed by nice smile by
her and comfortable cheap room. After take a bath we were going to the Clock
Tower.
The Madame said that the Clock Tower has light show every
night on 7.00 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm. So we decided to walk to get there. And it so
quiet and serene, in the center of city.
We sat and waited because we came too early, about 7.45 pm. There is Ramen
street hawker, and we ate the ramen while waiting for the show.
Here comes the show,

This boy after eat ramen saw the tower by himself |
The
color of the tower was constantly changing, and the song
was played. I don’t know what song is it, is it folk or pop Thai Song,
it was
OK as long we don’t get surprised by Disco or K-Pop Song. You won't get
spectacular show but it also nice to get the beauty of serene show. The
good show doesn't have to be too flashy anyway, it's nice.. so nice!

Here is the tough backpacker team |
We continue our journey in the Night market. One of the
hawker receive our special attention, the plate is leaf with coconut juice and
ice cream. We excitedly order 4 but it was closed. The market was full with
minority items, like from Akha, Karen, Lisu and also few gift. We don’t shop,
and continue to the centre of bazaar. There is a lot of food stall, everybody
selling tomyam on hotpot, with some fried food. We already full with ramen so
we have dreamy conversation with the ice cold beer. I got the rare best thing on earth :).
