Majestic East Bali in Puri Ujung and Tirta Gangga

This kingdom in eastern part of Bali has more open attitude than the rest of Bali. When others Kingdom closed the trade with the Dutch, they openly cooperate and gain advantage from it. This affected with the architecture of the palace in Karangasem. Puri Agung Karangasem, even name one of the building with Masterdam the name taken from the city of Amsterdam.
The Magnificent Ujung Palace
The kingdom of Karangasem was in existence by the middle of the seventeenth century century. The dynasty claims descent from the last Mahapajit Governor of Bali at the time. The kingdom became powerful during the late seventeenth century, conquering the neighbouring Lombok, Buleleng, and Jembrana.
Finally the sun on the edge of my journey
At the end of Eastern part of Bali, the Wataer Palace Ujung has beatuful view of the Lombok Strait with magnificient mixed European and Balinese style of garden. The garden is vast, and have uniquely symbol lion from Europe and garuda of Bali. This place is far from Denpasar so you can have very tranquil moment here. These building complex been through disaster so the complex itself had already changing overtime. There still some odd placed statue with the paddy field of villagers. Some ruin had not been restored, and this just bring this place had classical feel

This Puri was built in 1919, and extended overtime until 1937. This puri was named Soeksada which mean the garden that give you more pleasure. However, the explosion of nearby mount Agung in 1963 and earthquake in 1979 destroyed some of the building. Somehow this beautiful place escape from heavy tourist, and on the afternoon some of local people take a jogging around area what a wonderful place to exercise.
The Ruin Courtyard in Upper Part of Palace
Meanwhile the neighbour the Tirta Gangga built later. This palace was built in 1948, has more traditional style. This pond is named by the holy river Ganges in India, this place has water spring. They made it sacred and holy and we can even swim in the pool. On the second stage of the pool they share it for drinking t local community from the nearest people and lastly they used it for the farm.
Tirta Gangga has the beautiful interpretation about the sacred pool

This cool and tropical lush garden have wonderful mix between garden, pond and statue. The blue sky reflected on the pond and give nice idea for photographed. I really like the pond with stone on the top that we can explore and wander around.
