This is the prequel of Java Trip we were going to the big
stone and rock scattered around a hill, and this place has an old soul in
Gunung Padang. We were all amazed and fell in love in Gunung Padang. This place is located in Cianjur on the West of Java, together
with our Java Trip team. This megalithic site as big as 29 hectare complex
and had been there back to 10.000 years old.

This Gunung Padang site is Indonesian biggest discovery in
21th century, and it can change the shape of Indonesian Civilization. Indonesian
is very flexible and welcome country, some of our element was absorbed
throughout century from the beginning of Hinduism, Islam until the new wave of Catholicism. Every aspect that Indonesian absorbed had left us a question mark
about what is the truly Indonesian? And this discovery might change our
inferiority into something to be proud of.
We came all away from Bandung to go to this place. This place is located between Cianjur and
Sukabumi, and in the place called Warungkondang you can find the path into the
place. And this road will take you about 3 km into Gunung Padang. This megalith
is on the top of the hill, so you have to going up to visit this place. Going
up to the mountain and seeing things from above has deep religious meaning, it
is a metaphor of seeing from the above.

When you see the formation of this stone, you will be
amazed. The rock of Gunung Padang has various has different style how it
placed, sometimes it looks like a structure, sometimes it looks like a wall.
This well placed of rock was somehow give me a effect on peace of mind , its
like a hybrid of Mahccu Pichu and Borobudur. Surprisingly the electromagnetic
research have concluded that this place is actually have a chamber inside. This
old building can be proved that Sundanese has
This structure had been intensively researched, and had been
discovered many unique feature. Some stone in Gunung Padang is actually a
musical instrument. The stone that is played can form 4 note, and there is
another stone that can play music. On the time of prehistoric, this place already
play an concerto!. When I was there, the stone is already in conservation so
that stone can not be touched. There are three level of the building. The most
interesting level is on the second level. The rock formation make a rectangular
shape that somehow resemble a building.

While going home back to Bandung ,Gunung Padang was giving
me such a big conspiracy theory as favoured by Franky. This Gunung Padang had
been sacred by the old Sundanese religion. The Sundanese religion is also
called the Old Sunda knowledge, who believe in monotheism. This tradition had
been passed by oral tradition of song and poem called "pantun". Sunda has deep meaning of the son of the
truth, and Gunung Padang is the place of where the Holy Ancestor living, so
deep inside I have a thought that maybe this was the centre of civilization.
